On December 9, the People's Council of Tuyen Quang province, term XIX, 2021 - 2026, held the opening session of the second session to evaluate the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security in 2025 and give opinions on the socio-economic development plan in 2026; discuss and give opinions on 45 resolutions under its authority. On behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh highly appreciated and congratulated the results that the Party Committees at all levels, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees, all levels, sectors, business communities and people of all ethnic groups in Tuyen Quang province have achieved in recent times, contributing to the development of the whole country, contributing to promoting socio -economic development in the Northern Midlands and Mountains.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh noted that in the first quarter of 2026, many very important events will take place, such as the 14th National Party Congress, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; the first session of the new National Assembly and People's Councils will elect leadership positions of state agencies at the central and local levels, starting a new term to successfully implement the country's development goals until 2030. Therefore, Party committees and authorities at all levels in general, and People's Councils in particular, must continue to thoroughly grasp, enhance determination, awareness and action, mobilize the strength of the political system, concretize and organize the implementation of the resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee, the Resolution of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the Resolution of the 1st Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Congress, and strive to achieve and exceed the set goals and tasks.

To achieve the goal of becoming a fairly developed, comprehensive, sustainable, high-middle-income province by 2030, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that the province needs to focus on breakthroughs, key tasks, and remove bottlenecks and obstacles to comprehensively develop the economy and society, and achieve growth targets. The province needs to focus on investing in building infrastructure and transportation, especially key projects, creating interconnected, synchronous, and widespread connections; concretizing, promoting decentralization and delegation of power and effectively implementing national target programs in the area; resolutely directing the disbursement of public investment capital; ensuring good implementation of social security policies, improving people's lives; developing high-quality human resources; preserving, conserving, and promoting the values of cultural relics...

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh suggested that the Provincial People's Council continue to promote its pioneering role in innovating the content and methods of operation; constantly improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of operations. The Standing Committee of the People's Council, committees, delegations and each People's Council delegate should further enhance their sense of responsibility, courage and intelligence to make practical and effective contributions to the implementation of the role, functions and tasks of the People's Council. Based on the summary of the term and practical experience, the Provincial People's Council needs to accompany and share new thinking, good experiences and good practices with the People's Councils at the commune level; further strengthen coordination and sharing of experiences with relevant agencies and organizations of the province, central agencies and localities.

Towards the Election Day of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, which will take place on March 15, 2026, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, Provincial Party Committee Election Steering Committees, Provincial Election Committees and local election organizations to focus on leading and directing personnel work well, electing a sufficient number of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels to ensure standards, quality and reasonable structure; focus on directing and implementing propaganda, dissemination and mobilization work well so that the election day is truly a broad political activity and a festival for all people.

At the meeting, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh requested that units, in addition to the achievements, look straight at the truth, evaluate the reality for development; seriously review the shortcomings, limitations and bottlenecks that are hindering the development of the province as pointed out in the socio-economic report and the audit reports.

Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh said that in order for the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council to come into life and be effective right from the first days and months of 2026, delegates must promote their intelligence, responsibility, discuss democratically, and debate frankly. Questioning activities must go to the bottom of the problem, clarify responsibilities and roadmaps for solutions, especially not avoiding sensitive and complicated issues that voters are concerned about. Regarding orientation, strategy and socio-economic development plan, the province needs to develop a detailed growth scenario right from the beginning of the year; clarify new growth drivers to replace old ones; immediately overcome the situation of passive communes and wards in planning, in accordance with local characteristics, not waiting for the province to "do it for them".

On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh presented gifts to 100 policy households and poor households in Tuyen Quang province.

The second session of the 19th term People's Council of Tuyen Quang province, term 2021 - 2026, took place until December 11.
