In this match, coach Okiyama Masahiko continued to test a new starting lineup compared to the first friendly match, to help the players get used to the speed as well as learn the strengths of Japanese women's football.

The day before, the Vietnam U20 women's team had their first friendly match with the Shizuoka Sangyo University of Industry. As a result, the Vietnam U20 women's team lost 1-3.

The opponent team, Shizuoka Sangyo School, is older and considered to be more technically skilled, but to find the best lineup for the U20 Vietnam women's team, head coach Okiyama Masahiko arranged different personnel for each match.

The Vietnam U20 women's team is having a 10-day training session in Hamamatsu city, Shizuoka province (Japan).

This is an important stage in preparation for the 2026 Asian U20 Women's Qualifiers for coach Okiyama Masahiko and his team.

The female players will have 3 more friendly matches with school teams so that the coaching staff can review and arrange personnel for the main squad.

After the training trip to Japan, on July 21, the Vietnam U20 women's team will return to Hanoi , entering the final preparation stage for the 2026 Asian U20 Women's qualifying round.

At this tournament, the U20 Vietnamese women's team is in Group B with the teams: Singapore, Hong Kong (China) and Kyrgyzstan, competing from August 6 to 10 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi).
