The "Trigger Promotion 5" boxing competition, jointly organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Boxing Federation, Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television (HTV), and Trigger Boxing, concluded successfully on the evening of October 25th amidst the enthusiastic welcome of numerous professional boxing fans.

Trigger Promotion attracts many top fighters.
Trigger Promotion is one of the few professional boxing tournaments with a scale and sustainable development orientation, not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also expanding its influence nationwide.
This is a place where fighters can nurture their passion and showcase their talent in a powerful, highly combative form of martial arts. The organizers have maintained this venue for the past five years, making it a familiar destination for all fighters pursuing their dream of professional boxing.

Of the eight matches, the highlight that captivated fans was the clash between former national team member Nguyen Van Hai ( Hanoi ) and rising young boxer Cao Quoc Viet (Trigger Boxing Club) in the Super Lightweight (63.5 kg) category. Spectators were glued to the action throughout the six intense and fiery rounds between the two fighters representing two different generations.

Cao Quoc Viet's youthful energy could not overcome Nguyen Van Hai's experience.
Being 15 years younger and slightly taller and heavier, Cao Quoc Viet only lacked experience compared to his senior opponent, a 14-time national champion and two-time silver and bronze medalist in boxing at the SEA Games. The match was quite balanced, with both boxers delivering a spectacular and fiery display of attacks.
With his extensive experience, composure, and ability to control the match, Nguyen Van Hai secured a convincing victory after six rounds, affirming his status as one of the three most prominent names in Vietnamese boxing, alongside Tran Van Thao and Truong Dinh Hoang.

Having participated in numerous international competitions and impressed with a knockout victory in just 12 seconds against Abdul Motalib at the WBO Global Prelude 2023, Nguyen Van Hai's win at Trigger Promotion 5 further demonstrates his top form and pioneering role in promoting professional boxing in Vietnam.
In other matches, including many career debuts for numerous fighters, boxers such as Nguyen Tan Ngoc (welterweight), Tran Huynh Bao Luan (featherweight), Ho Van Sanh (lightweight), Nguyen Minh Hau (lightweight), Vo Chi Tam (bantamweight), Luc Van Phuoc (bantamweight), etc., emerged victorious.

This is also the first professional boxing event in 2025 to be broadcast live on HTV Sports .

Nguyen Minh Hau wins in the lightweight category.
Sharing his long-term vision, Mr. Trinh Minh Tri – founder of Trigger Boxing Club – said: "We plan to organize 4-5 tournaments a year to give boxers more opportunities to compete, improve their skills, and earn a stable income. With a solid economic foundation, they will be better able to pursue their passion long-term."
The Trigger Promotion Tournament has received approval from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports to organize, affirming the efforts of the city's sports community in building a healthy, modern, and internationally integrated sports environment.
