The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to a report on the organization of the Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament 2024 and the Nui Chua Marathon 2024.

On February 29th, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to hear a report on the organization of the 2024 Ninh Thuan Provincial Open Golf Tournament. Leaders from relevant departments, agencies, and units attended the meeting.

According to the plan, the 2024 Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament will take place on April 13, 2024, at Anara Binh Tien Golf Course, Binh Tien Hamlet, Cong Hai Commune (Thuan Bac District), with two competition categories: Men's Individual and Women's Individual (with Handicap), 18-hole stroke play format, and scoring based on Handicap System 36. Participants include all golf clubs from agencies, units, departments, businesses, and individuals capable of playing golf within the province, as well as golf clubs from neighboring provinces. To date, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has worked with Binh Tien Investment and Tourism Joint Stock Company to finalize organizational details; drafted the regulations for the 2024 Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament; and advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Plan for organizing the 2024 Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee instructed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently inspect and complete the necessary infrastructure for organizing the tournament; strengthen publicity through various media channels; establish the Organizing Committee; develop the program script, invitations, and sponsorship letters... At the same time, mobilize golfers to participate, and focus on securing sponsorships, particularly for prize money and tournament organization.

* Earlier, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, held a working session with the delegation from Ho Chi Minh City Television Station regarding the coordination of the 2024 Nui Chua Marathon.

At the meeting, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Television Station announced that in 2024, the station will propose to cooperate with the province to organize the Nui Chua Marathon to promote tourism in the Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve and raise awareness about environmental protection. The race is expected to be held in November 2024, with a scale of 1,000 participants. The Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee will be the host unit, while Ho Chi Minh City Television Station will play a role in media and organizational coordination.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the proposal from Ho Chi Minh City Television to jointly organize the Nui Chua Marathon. He emphasized that the event is an opportunity for the province to promote its natural landscapes and attract tourists, and therefore the province agrees in principle to cooperate with Ho Chi Minh City Television. Mr. Nguyen Long Bien assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City Television to develop a plan for jointly organizing the race. He stressed that the plan must be detailed, specific, and ensure adequate funding, security, safety, and be linked to tourism promotion activities, creating a highlight to attract tourists to the province.
