E-commerce helps consumers not need to go to the store to shop

E-commerce is making significant progress, becoming an inevitable trend in the modern economy when penetrating all business fields, becoming an important tool for the operations of enterprises, cooperatives, and business households (DN, HTX, HKD), helping to reduce costs of product promotion, market and partner search.

From the e-commerce platform, many new forms of shopping have been strongly developed, typically the trend of livestream (live sales) and multi-channel sales has brought huge revenue to professional sellers. On the contrary, e-commerce has brought significant convenience to consumers.

However, the application of e-commerce in the production and business activities of enterprises, business households and cooperatives in the province is still limited. Most enterprises in the province are small and medium enterprises, without a person in charge of information technology and e-commerce, many enterprises build websites that only provide information about products and services they are trading. Many enterprises still do not understand the legal regulations on e-commerce business, electronic transactions and taxes in e-commerce activities.

In order to disseminate and guide the implementation of legal regulations on e-commerce and consumer protection in electronic transactions, at the conference, enterprises, cooperatives, and business households were disseminated about Decree 52/2013/ND-CP on e-commerce; Decree 85/2021/ND-CP amending Decree 52/2013/ND-CP on e-commerce; Circular 47/2014/TT-BCT on management of e-commerce websites; Circular 59/2015/TT-BCT regulating the management of e-commerce activities via applications on mobile devices; regulations on taxes and electronic transactions in e-commerce activities for enterprises, cooperatives, and business households...

“The conference helps businesses grasp the regulations and apply them effectively in e-commerce activities. At the same time, compliance with legal regulations not only helps protect the rights of consumers but also contributes to improving the competitiveness and sustainable development of businesses,” said Mr. Nguyen Luong Bay, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade.
