On November 3, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of District 1 (HCMC) announced that it had just coordinated with the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee to organize the 6th Vegetarian Buffet Festival - Sharing a Heart.
The Vegetarian Buffet Festival is one of the key activities that District 1 has been carrying out, aiming to raise funds to care for the poor. In particular, this festival has the participation of about 2,000 people, District 1 has received contributions and registered contributions with the amount of more than 4.3 billion VND.
In addition, all 2,000 vegetarian buffet tickets issued, with a total value of 500 million VND, were donated to the Fund for the Poor in District 1. Units participating in the festival provided more than 130 free vegetarian dishes.
Ms. Duong Thi Hong Gam - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of District 1 said that the entire political system in the district is currently focusing all its efforts to complete the Sustainable Poverty Reduction Program for the 2021 - 2025 period in 2024.
According to Ms. Gam, since the beginning of the year, in addition to the state budget, with the joint efforts of kind-hearted people, agencies, units, religious and belief establishments, the district Fatherland Front, and wards have coordinated to take good care of the military's rear policies and support poor households.
