Exhibition area of Tay Ninh province
Don ca tai tu (ĐCTT) - a unique folk art form of the South, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity - is the heart and breath of life of the people of the South. Therefore, Tay Ninh has chosen ĐCTT as an artistic highlight to introduce its unique cultural identity to the people and tourists.
Performing arts team serving locals and tourists
In the autumn weather of Hanoi, the ĐCTT space was set up simply but imbued with the Southern style: bamboo chairs, đàn kim, đàn co, sweet, melodious lyrics,... performed by veteran artists from the Tay Ninh Provincial Cultural and Artistic Center captivated the audience, bringing listeners to the peaceful, gentle Southern space through each melody and lyrics. "I am very moved to bring the music and singing of my homeland Tay Ninh to the capital Hanoi. This is not only a performance but also an opportunity for us to tell the story of the South through traditional music . The ĐCTT songs and excerpts of cải lương that the team has practiced focus on promoting my homeland Tay Ninh and the capital Hanoi" - singer Nguyen Thanh Nhan emotionally shared.
Not only performing on the main stage, the artists also interacted and performed live at the Tay Ninh exhibition booth, creating a close, Southern atmosphere.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen - singer of the Provincial Cultural and Artistic Center, said: "Coming here, we not only bring songs and musical instruments to serve the people but also spread the culture of the South."
Many young people in Hanoi who were exposed to this art form for the first time were excited and surprised. “I have heard of ĐCTT before, but today is the first time I have actually heard it live. The music is simple but very profound, both strange and familiar. I can clearly feel the soul of the Southern people through each song” - Minh Anh, a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, shared.
Experiencing the Dan Kim, Miss Universe Vietnam 2025 Nguyen Hoang Phuong Linh said: Linh herself was very moved when experiencing a traditional musical instrument at the fair. This helps Linh understand more about the nation's traditions, thereby promoting and introducing them to friends and tourists at home and abroad.
In Hanoi, the sound of the ĐCTT from the Tay Ninh exhibition area is not only a performance but also the "voice" of a land that always knows how to cherish the past, preserve the national soul and look towards the future with its own identity. At the same time, it is also a message to today's generation to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors, preserve and promote traditional cultural values in the new era as well as a word of gratitude to the generations of ancestors who sacrificed for national independence.
ĐCTT is not only about lyrics and melodies but also a part of the soul of Tay Ninh people in particular and the Southern region in general. Bringing this art form closer to the public in Hanoi not only helps spread the value of heritage but also promotes traditional cultural values, connecting the national spirit with modern development./.
