In his opening speech, Moroccan Ambassador to Vietnam Jamale Chouaibi affirmed that under the leadership of King Mohammed VI over the past 26 years, Rabat's development path has been a journey of strong transformation, thanks to bold reforms, ambitious development strategies and continuous efforts to promote peace , stability and prosperity. With a strong will and perseverance, Morocco has achieved many outstanding achievements in economic diversification, poverty reduction, renewable energy development and regional connectivity.
Morocco is actively preparing to host major international sporting events such as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup. These tournaments are driving major development plans across the country, including investment in modern transport systems, the construction of state-of-the-art stadiums and infrastructure upgrades. These efforts are not only aimed at meeting international standards, but also demonstrate Rabat’s determination to develop and leave a lasting infrastructure legacy for future generations.

According to Ambassador Jamale Chouaibi, this anniversary coincides with the 64th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Vietnam (1961-2026) - a relationship built on mutual respect, common principles and a history of fruitful cooperation. The visit to Vietnam by President of the Moroccan House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami in January, and the recent visit to Morocco by President of the Vietnamese National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, are vivid evidence of the sincere political determination of both sides to expand and deepen the partnership.
Ambassador Jamale Chouaibi expressed his hope that the bilateral cooperation will continue to develop strongly, based on the common determination to build a prosperous and sustainable future. The two countries can completely overcome challenges together, with the spirit of mutual respect, sincere cooperation and strong solidarity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that as a friend of Morocco, Vietnam congratulates Rabat on its great strides in realizing the goals of “Vision 2030”, especially in industrialization, innovation, energy transition and sustainable development. Vietnam believes that with its strategic vision and spirit of continuous reform, Morocco will continue to develop strongly and increasingly affirm its role and position in the region and the world.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang shared, “I still have good impressions of Morocco from my visit in October 2023. As soon as I set foot in Marrakech, I was deeply impressed not only by the spectacular architecture and colorful markets, but also by the long history, rich and dynamic culture, resilient spirit and clear vision that have shaped the Moroccan people.”
2025 is an important year for Vietnam - Morocco relations, as the two countries join hands to prepare for the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Over more than six decades, the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries have been continuously consolidated and developed positively in the spirit of mutual respect and shared interests. The two countries have maintained regular dialogue mechanisms, exchanged delegations at all levels and cooperated in many fields such as politics, economics, trade, education - training and people-to-people exchange.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang expressed her sincere thanks to the Rabat government for granting many scholarships to Vietnamese students to study in Morocco, and affirmed her belief that the young generation of both countries will be a solid bridge, contributing to the sustainable and long-term development of today's good relationship in the future.
