Hoang Thi Cam Nhung and her husband recently won first prize in the Thua Thien Hue Province Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2023.
The 2023 Thua Thien Hue Province Innovation and Startup Competition has found its "champion," the project " Moc An Grains - A Journey to Sustainable Development" by Hoang Thi Cam Nhung, 33 years old, Director of Moc An Green Agriculture Development Co., Ltd.
Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Nhung and her husband received the first prize from the leaders of Thua Thien Hue province.

Hailing from Phong Son commune (Phong Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province), Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Nhung and her husband boldly built the Moc An brand of clean cereal powder to achieve sustainable development using local resources.
After more than 5 years of development and expansion, through new models and active learning as well as proactively researching policies, Moc An has invested in equipment, machinery, packaging, labels, etc., and strictly adheres to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Currently, Moc An cereal products have been certified with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), an international standard for quality management systems, helping businesses and organizations control and limit hazards that arise during food production and processing.
"When researching HACCP certification, we knew it would be difficult, but with determination, prior preparation, and thorough research into raw material sources and factory construction to meet the standards, along with the advice and support of the Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue province, Moc An succeeded," Cam Nhung said.
Leaders of departments and agencies presented flowers to congratulate Ms. Hoang Thi Cam Nhung and her husband.

Cam Nhung further shared upon receiving the award: "Since deciding to venture into cereal powder, my husband and I have been determined and promised ourselves that we would bring a truly safe and healthy cereal powder to the world amidst the widespread problem of contaminated food. Today, I can confidently say this because my husband and I have poured all our heart and soul into this brainchild, Moc An."
The organizing committee also awarded 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 3 consolation prizes, and 2 projects received awards from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The Thua Thien Hue Province Innovation and Startup Competition 2023 received 90 applications, many of which had already created products for the market and showed promising development potential. After three rounds of competition, the organizing committee awarded prizes to 12 outstanding projects and ideas from individual authors and groups of authors.
Over the past eight years, the Thua Thien Hue Province Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has attracted more than 400 startup projects and ideas, with over 100 projects selected for the final round and nearly 80 promising projects awarded provincial-level prizes. Many projects have developed and brought their products to domestic and international markets since the competition.
