VTC Online and Hodoo Labs have partnered to release Betia English, an application designed to help Vietnamese users develop their English speaking skills.
Betia English was researched and launched by the Korean education company Hodoo Labs to provide students with the best possible English learning experience.

Unlike traditional methods of delivering knowledge, Betia English creates a virtual world with storylines and characters possessing diverse personalities and professional characteristics, presenting situations that are applicable to real life, helping children practice and improve their speaking skills.
The storyline revolves around the peaceful world of Betia, which is suddenly invaded and its language stolen. Students will take on the role of a character in this world, completing speaking challenges to restore peace and reclaim Betia's stolen language. The world of Betia is a place where students can freely explore English, motivating them to learn new things every day.
Instead of focusing on scores, Betia aims to motivate students to practice daily, making speaking English no longer a source of fear for them. Practical knowledge is presented in the form of a story with a system of virtual characters, giving students the feeling of chatting with a real friend on the app.

Betia English is developed using a task-based learning model with a series of lessons and rewards, while also enhancing interaction with students to stimulate natural English pronunciation. Through the application of AI speech recognition technology, Betia English can identify and evaluate students' pronunciation and provide detailed feedback, creating a basis for students to monitor their performance and build appropriate and effective learning plans.
Betia's lesson content is built and developed according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), compiled in collaboration with Chungdahm Learning, a leading education group in South Korea. Instead of focusing solely on grammar and vocabulary, Betia English uses the Chunking method to build its learning path. This method involves learning a foreign language through sentence patterns, phrases, or expressions in specific contexts, rather than learning individual vocabulary words. This method not only helps learners improve their memorization skills but also helps them avoid misusing words, while simultaneously improving pronunciation and intonation.
Combining play and learning, Betia English is unique, providing an engaging learning experience that inspires and motivates young children to learn English every day. With its motto "education without boundaries," this app has become a daily companion, supporting millions of students in South Korea in practicing and improving their English speaking skills.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Duy, Head of the Betia English project at VTC Online, shared that in the era of international integration and with English being one of the most widely used languages, practicing and developing English speaking skills is extremely necessary. However, limitations in time and space for practice are a barrier for Vietnamese students, as they don't always have many opportunities to practice. "VTC Online is bringing Betia English – a leading English development application from South Korea – to Vietnamese students to contribute to creating a language playground where they can actively practice and spark their interest in learning English," Mr. Duy said.
VTC Online plans to officially launch the Betia app in the Vietnamese education market at the beginning of the next school year. The company hopes that Betia English will become a companion for Vietnamese students in improving their English speaking skills, aiming for comprehensive English proficiency development.
VTC Online Joint Stock Company is a company operating in the field of technology and digital content, with a technical foundation and experience in deploying online education services on the internet, and owns the Internet English Olympiad (IOE) program.
Hodoo Labs, a leading educational technology company in South Korea, recently received the "Promising Technology Company" award from the Korean Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups.
