Vu Quoc Viet believes that patriotism originates within each individual, not only loving one's country but also always being proud of one's homeland, the place that gives one life. When asked about the difficulties in composing songs about homeland and country, musician Vu Quoc Viet shared: "No genre is easy. Only when you have enough emotion and ideas will beautiful lyrics and melodies emerge."
Vu Quoc Viet is the author of many hit songs, and many people believe he lives a comfortable life because "just one hit song is enough to live comfortably for a lifetime." However, the musician says "that's just a rumor."
"Every job has its own worries and difficulties. Musicians now have a better income each quarter because their copyrights are protected by the Music Copyright Center," the male singer told a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper.
Sharing about his current life, he said he's doing well and is still working simultaneously as a singer and songwriter, just like when he first started in the arts.
The song " When the Homeland Needs You" expresses the aspiration to live life to the fullest for the love of Vietnam and its people, as performed by the warm, deep voice of Vu Quoc Viet and the members of the V Music group.
The first part of the song consists of lyrical verses, painting a beautiful picture of the homeland, while the latter part transforms into a march, conveying powerful and majestic emotions, like an exhortation to patriotic souls.
Sharing his thoughts on the song, composer Vu Quoc Viet expressed his hope that it would inspire people to strive for success and wholeheartedly contribute to their homeland.
