Wrong enrollment case at Muong Lat boarding school: Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee takes action

On the afternoon of June 19, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Trieu Minh Xiet - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Muong Lat District Party Committee (Thanh Hoa) - said that the leaders of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee had just announced the decision to inspect party organizations and party members when there were signs of violations related to the Muong Lat Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities and the Departmentof Education and Training of this district.

"The Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee will investigate signs of violations related to enrollment at Muong Lat Ethnic Boarding Secondary School as reported by Tuoi Tre Online newspaper . The inspection period will not exceed three months," added Mr. Trieu Minh Xiet.

Since May 23, Tuoi Tre Online has had many articles reflecting on violations occurring at Muong Lat Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

Afterwards, the Chairman of Muong Lat District People's Committee established an inspection team to clarify the content of Tuoi Tre Online 's reflection.

On June 10, the Chairman of Muong Lat District People's Committee reported the results of the inspection and clarified the content of Tuoi Tre Online 's reflection related to Muong Lat Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, to the leaders of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

The results of the inspection and verification by the People's Committee of Muong Lat district confirmed that the contents reflected by Tuoi Tre Online related to Muong Lat Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities are true and well-founded.

Among them, many children and grandchildren of department and school leaders and teachers were admitted to grade 6 at Muong Lat Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, violating the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, causing public outrage and affecting the regime and policies of the Party and State for children of ethnic minorities in extremely disadvantaged areas.

The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee once got involved in wrong enrollment.

Previously, on November 2, 2022, Tuoi Tre Online published an article "Ethnic boarding school recruits 60 6th grade students, up to 43 students do not meet the requirements", reflecting on incorrect enrollment at Quan Hoa Secondary School for Ethnic Boarding Students.

The Standing Committee of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has directed "the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee to conduct an inspection when there are signs of violations against party organizations and party members related to violations in enrollment in grade 6 of Quan Hoa Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, school year 2022 - 2023".

By January 2023, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced disciplinary measures against party organizations and party members related to violations in enrollment in grade 6 at Quan Hoa Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.

Among them, the vice chairman of Quan Hoa district People's Committee and 3 subordinates were reprimanded, the head of Quan Hoa Department of Education and Training was warned, and the Party cell of this department was reprimanded.
