Responding to a reporter from VTC News on the evening of October 27, Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan said that her family and Mr. Do Van Huu still could not agree on a solution according to the proposal to buy back the land that had been "mistakenly built".
Therefore, Mr. Huu decided to hire a "genie" to move the 2-storey house to the correct location in group 7 Kien Bai, Thien Huong ward, Hai Phong city.
“Following the local government's efforts with both families, Mr. Huu agreed to buy back the land for nearly 900 million VND, but promised that it would take 1-2 months to have enough money, so we did not agree and asked Mr. Huu to move his house to return the land according to the court's decision,” said Ms. Loan.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 27, the People's Committee of Thien Huong Ward continued to invite representatives of Ms. Loan's family and Mr. Huu to the headquarters to agree on a solution related to the case of Mr. Do Van Huu. build a house on the land legally owned by Mrs. Tran Thi Kim Loan and her husband at Group 7 Kien Bai, Thien Huong Ward.

At this meeting, Mr. Huu continued to admit that he had built the land in the wrong location and earnestly hoped that Ms. Loan’s family would sell him the land so that they would not have to hire a “magician” to move it. The local government also urged Ms. Loan to consider selling the land back to Mr. Huu’s family at the current land price.
According to Ms. Loan, after consideration, the family decided not to resell the land plot that Mr. Huu's family had illegally occupied and built a house on.
“ On the afternoon of October 27, Mr. Huu said he had deposited 50 million VND to the genie to move the house. If he still could not negotiate to buy back the land, on October 28, the genie would bring machinery and equipment from Ho Chi Minh City to proceed ,” said Ms. Loan.
The case of Ms. Loan's family was previously tried at first instance by the People's Court of Region 1 - Hai Phong.

According to the verdict, on September 23, 2024, Mr. Nguyen Dang Ca's family and his wife, Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan, purchased a 60m² plot of land belonging to plot No. 4856, map sheet No. 03, which was granted a Certificate of Land Use Rights by the People's Committee of Thuy Nguyen District, Hai Phong City on October 19, 2024, recorded in the Certificate issuance book No. CN986 at the address of village 7, Kien Bai commune (now Thien Huong ward, Hai Phong city).
On November 12, 2024, while inspecting the land, Ms. Loan discovered that a plot of land belonging to her family was being occupied by someone else to build a solid 2-storey house. Ms. Loan learned that the person who hired the construction workers was Mr. Do Van Huu and his wife, Ms. Vu Thi Tuyen.
Although the People's Committee of Kien Bai commune (old government) and Ms. Loan repeatedly requested to stop construction and warned of property damage if they tried to complete it, Mr. Huu's family still completed and put the project into use.
At the reconciliation meetings, although he admitted to "building wrongly" on Mr. Ca and Mrs. Loan's land, Mr. Huu used the excuse that he had put all his money and heart into the project for his family to live in, so he resolutely refused to dismantle and return the site as requested.
Mr. Huu proposed a solution by asking Ms. Loan's family to accept "exchanging land" for a plot not far away, also with an area of 60 square meters, or to sell the plot of land back to Mr. Huu's family for 550 million VND, leading to the two sides not being able to find a common voice.
Responding to a reporter from VTC News Electronic Newspaper earlier, Mr. Do Van Huu said that the cost of moving the house was quoted by "genie" Hoang Dinh Bach at 250 million VND, not including the cost of foundation work that the family had to take care of themselves.
