At the conference, the new recruits received information from speakers of the 5th Naval Region on the basic contents regarding the position, role, and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands to the cause of national construction and defense; the current situation in our sea areas; the role of the Vietnam People's Navy in managing and protecting maritime sovereignty and islands; and the responsibilities of naval officers and soldiers in carrying out assigned tasks.

On this occasion, the new recruits also learned about the journey of building, fighting, winning, maturing, and developing the Vietnam People's Navy; the outstanding achievements and accomplishments of the Navy and Region 5 in managing and protecting the sovereignty of the country's seas and islands.
This is a meaningful and practical activity aimed at raising awareness, fostering responsibility, cultivating revolutionary ideals, and instilling love for the sea and islands in the younger generation. Through this, it awakens national pride, strengthens confidence, encourages and motivates new recruits to work with peace of mind, actively strive, study, and train, successfully completing assigned tasks, contributing to building a strong, exemplary, and comprehensive unit, and firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the nation's sea and islands.

Private Quách Chol, a soldier in Platoon 1, Company 25, Battalion 563, shared: “The information provided by the speaker was both diverse and concise, easy to understand. Many of the topics were new to me. It was truly useful information, helping me to better understand the sea and islands of my homeland, as well as the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations. This has enhanced my awareness and sense of responsibility in fulfilling my assigned duties.”
