In the villages of Phuong Chau and Hac Son, many small alleys are deeply flooded, making travel difficult. Notably, landslides have occurred at the embankment of La Thuong village, posing a potential risk to the safety of the construction.
Not only the civil infrastructure, agricultural production in Co Do was also severely affected. More than 30 hectares of rice and more than 100 hectares of aquaculture were flooded, many livestock and poultry farmers were forced to relocate their livestock to limit damage. In Vu Chu village alone, the rice and aquaculture areas were deeply flooded, causing great losses.

In addition, the commune's domestic water supply system was also affected. Phong Van clean water plant was flooded, causing temporary interruption of water supply to 8 villages: Tan Phong 1, Tan Phong 2, Tan Phong 3, Van Hoi, Co Do, Vu Chu, Kieu Moc, Vien Chau. The commune working group encouraged the staff and workers of the plant to make efforts to overcome and clear drainage blockages, quickly restore operations, and ensure the essential living needs of the people.
Head of the Economic Department of Co Do Commune, Le Manh Hung, said that up to now, the whole commune has more than 30 hectares of rice flooded, 100 hectares of aquaculture affected, along with a number of dangerous landslides. Before the storm, the commune issued a widespread warning notice, instructing people to reinforce the banks, build embankments, and proactively move livestock. The commune continues to maintain 24/7 duty, ready to respond to unusual weather developments...

To respond effectively, the leaders of Co Do commune have divided working groups to each key village, both to encourage the on-duty force and to directly inspect and remind the village chiefs at high-risk locations. The commune People's Committee also coordinated with the villages to mobilize people not to throw garbage into ditches and drainage channels to avoid blocking the flow.
Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Co Do Commune, Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, affirmed that the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of the commune always put the safety of the people first. The commune has resolutely directed the on-duty forces and at the same time proposed the functional agencies to urgently support the plan to overcome the damage to the infrastructure, especially the La Thuong embankment and the drainage system, to ensure production and stabilize the people's lives.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Co Do Commune, Hoang Truc Phong, shared that despite many difficulties, the commune has mobilized maximum human and material resources to minimize damage. The commune always accompanies the people to quickly overcome incidents and restore production; and continues to proactively respond to storms and floods this year. The commune's working group directly inspected and listened to the recommendations of households, and at the same time directed the Commune People's Committee to coordinate with the village to review and develop a plan to renovate the drainage system, ensuring that flooding does not recur. The Commune People's Committee requested the erection of warning signs and at the same time coordinated with the Ba Vi Dike Management Department to find fundamental solutions to protect people's safety.

It can be seen that, although the damage is not small, with the drastic direction of the Party Committee, the government and the proactive spirit of the people, Co Do commune is gradually overcoming difficulties, stabilizing production and life, continuing to strengthen the disaster prevention and control system, ensuring safety for people during the rainy and stormy season.
