Accordingly, the villages organize inspections and field checks to identify areas at risk of landslides, subsidence, cracks, and water leaks, especially around ponds, lakes, and dams on high ground to irrigate durian trees of the people, the slopes of traffic roads, and households along the banks of rivers and streams; report specifically, with photos of the scene and coordinates to the Commune People's Committee. In addition, strengthen propaganda and mobilize people not to store water in ponds and lakes located on high ground, areas at risk of landslides and leaks, especially near residential areas, schools, and traffic roads; proactively lower the water level or drain ponds and lakes when detecting signs of insecurity; regularly monitor the situation of the ground, pond and lake banks and promptly report to the village or Commune People's Committee when there are unusual developments.
Tay Khanh Son Commune People's Committee also requested organizations and villages to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to limit going out when it rains heavily, not to cross streams and underground water flows; reinforce houses, brace roofs, move assets and livestock to safe places; proactively evacuate landslide and deep flood areas when requested by the authorities. Households in highland areas, along streams and hillsides need to be especially vigilant, urgently check and trim trees around residential areas that are at risk of falling to ensure safety of property and life...
