Thien Loc Commune proactively and resolutely responds to storm No. 3

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 3, Thien Loc commune urgently inspected a number of villages and hamlets at high risk of flooding when the storm arrives, and at the same time assigned tasks and developed prevention and control plans to protect the lives and property of local people.

According to Chairman of Thien Loc Commune People's Committee Nguyen Huu Dung, storm prevention and control is an urgent task, requiring units not to be subjective or negligent; at the same time, strictly implement the direction of superiors, and be on duty 24/7 to promptly handle all situations.

Previously, on the evening of July 21, the delegation of leaders of Thien Loc commune directly inspected the areas at high risk of flooding and landslides; reviewed the sewer system and drainage canals to ensure smooth flow; inspected construction works under construction to ensure labor safety and prevent incidents. The commune leaders also proactively grasped the situation of response preparations of villages, schools, medical stations and paid special attention to households living along rivers and low-lying areas. The commune has proactively developed plans to relocate and evacuate residents in dangerous areas, which have been detailed and ready for implementation.

Through the inspection, the commune leaders requested units and villages to proactively implement the "4 on-site" plan, check vehicles and spare materials. At the same time, they emphasized the spirit of not being subjective or negligent, strictly implementing the instructions of superiors and the proposed disaster prevention and control plan, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

The commune leaders also paid special attention to the work of overcoming the consequences of the storm: "After the storm, the forces need to quickly deploy plans to overcome the consequences, support people to stabilize their lives and restore production."
