Building a database of businesses in all economic sectors

The Government has just issued Decision No. 2074/QD-TTg approving the project to build a business database.

The project's objective is to establish a business database consisting of 6 main data sources: Business registration, tax, import and export, social insurance, credit, labor and employment with related databases to grasp the business performance to serve state management;

Improve the quality of business support work; make information transparent, aiming to form big and open data to meet the exploitation requirements, serve investment, production and business of people and businesses.

The project is implemented nationwide. The business database covers the entire business sector of all economic sectors: Non-state enterprises; state-owned enterprises; foreign-invested enterprises.

The Ministry of Finance develops and guides the connection, data synchronization, and data sharing of ministries, branches, and localities with enterprise databases to stably operate basic enterprise databases in 2025.

By 2026, upgrade the basic enterprise database on the basis of continuing to integrate with data sources on credit and investment; develop tools to analyze business operations on the basis of applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data mining.

In the 2027 - 2030 period, develop platforms to serve open data exploitation, allowing people and businesses to look up information.
