Hanoi's city buses are becoming increasingly accessible and friendly to the public thanks to professionally trained drivers and service staff, and improved service quality.
Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) continues to implement a comprehensive range of solutions to improve service quality, vehicle quality, and build a bus service culture.
At the closing ceremony of Transerco's 2025 emulation campaign on the morning of September 26th, according to Mr. Nguyen Thuy, Deputy General Director of Transerco, the quality of this year's emulation campaign has significantly improved due to positive changes and the building upon the achievements of previous campaigns.
Specifically, the Corporation operated over 291,000 safe trips, with no serious traffic accidents occurring on the route; there were no violations related to awareness or attitude towards passenger service; the number of complaints about service quality from customers decreased significantly, and there were no negative complaints about vehicle quality.
"Regarding compliance with road traffic laws, adherence to driving discipline, and proper stopping and picking up/dropping off of passengers, data from the vehicle tracking system shows that many bus routes have almost reached the absolute standard," Mr. Thuy emphasized.
In addition, positive feedback regarding the sense of responsibility and service attitude of the drivers and service staff has increased significantly.
This year's Transerco Bus Service Culture Building Competition continues to build upon the achievements and strengths of previous years, and has been continuously updated, innovated, and creatively developed, from organizational leadership to synchronized forms of propaganda and training from the General Corporation to the grassroots level. This has created a vibrant competitive atmosphere in terms of service spirit among drivers and service staff on bus routes.
Through this competition, the Corporation will select, commend, and further promote outstanding and exemplary bus drivers and service staff. These will be key figures in spreading and further creating positive changes in building a bus service culture, so that bus services become increasingly accessible and friendly to the people, contributing to an increase in bus passenger numbers in the future.
2025 also marks the fourth consecutive year that the Corporation continues to organize the selection process for the "Transerco Golden Steering Wheel" award; the "Transerco Outstanding Bus Service Employee" award; and the "Transerco Skilled Repairman" award, aiming to honor workers who have been long-term employees and are always key figures in production and customer service.
The results of the evaluation and selection process for awarding commendations to 62 outstanding individuals will be honored as representatives of many other exemplary figures who have been diligently contributing and dedicating themselves to Hanoi's bus system among the nearly 4,000 employees of Transerco's 7 bus operating units.
At the conclusion of the 2025 peak emulation campaign, the Transerco Emulation and Commendation Council decided to award a total of 354 prizes of various types to collectives and individuals who had achieved outstanding results…/.
