Building Bien Hoa ward into a modern urban area

After the success of the 1st Party Congress, term 2025-2030, Bien Hoa Ward Party Committee is determined to maximize advantages, fully exploit potentials, promptly put the resolution into life, ensure social security for the people associated with the motto "Solidarity - Discipline, Breakthrough - Development" set forth by the congress.

Great potential for economic development

Formed from the merger of 4 wards: Tan Hanh, Hoa An, Buu Hoa and Tan Van, Bien Hoa ward is facing many strategic advantages in management, infrastructure development and improving people's lives. With its location adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai River, it creates potential for developing waterway traffic, facilitating the development of trade, services and tourism , promoting the socio-economic development of the locality. The advantages of location, scale and investment potential have created a great driving force for Bien Hoa ward to grow strongly in the new term.

Looking back at the 2020-2025 term, the entire political system and all classes of people in the ward have promoted the spirit of solidarity and creativity, striving to complete the set goals and tasks. The Party's directives and resolutions have been seriously implemented, diverse in form, quality, and content has been concretized promptly, close to the local reality. Administrative reform work has been resolved quickly with over 97% of records received and resolved on time.

From 2021 to now, the work of planning, construction and urban development in the ward has received attention, creating a clear change in the quality of the infrastructure system. The implementation of science and technology in the area has achieved positive results, effectively applied in the fields of information technology, agriculture, management, administrative reform... contributing to the socio-economic and environmental development of the whole ward.

Education and training are given attention. Currently, the whole ward has 17 schools, including 12 public schools, 5 private schools, and 4/12 national standard public schools. Cultural, artistic, and sports activities have flourished and are diverse. The health sector is focused on, especially improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people. Social security work is focused on; poverty reduction solutions meet the resolution targets, and people's lives continue to improve. Political security and social order and safety are maintained.

In Bien Hoa ward, there are currently more than 1,000 businesses operating with nearly 990 individual business households, along with 28/35 businesses in Tan Hanh Ceramic Cluster that have basically completed investment in building technical infrastructure, contributing to the development of the local traditional ceramic craft. The businesses create jobs for thousands of workers, generating revenue in the area.

Ms. Le Thi Hanh, who has 30 years of experience in the pottery profession at Tan Hanh Industrial Park, Bien Hoa Ward, said: Thanks to her attachment to the traditional pottery profession, her income and life have changed. From difficult circumstances, she has worked hard, risen in life and passed on the profession to many local workers. Her family also has 5 members working in pottery making at ceramic production facilities and enterprises. "I hope the locality will continue to invest in developing the traditional pottery profession so that many younger generations can continue the profession, bringing the pride of Bien Hoa to the localities" - Ms. Hanh shared.

Determined to put the resolution into practice

The Resolution of the Bien Hoa Ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term sets out 16 main targets, 8 key tasks, 3 breakthrough areas, and 8 main solutions in various fields. Of which, 3 breakthroughs were identified by the locality, namely: Promoting resources to develop a multi-modal, synchronous, modern, and sustainably connected transport infrastructure system. Effectively implementing the Dong Nai River route planning and developing the river economy associated with the traditional pottery craft village of Bien Hoa. In particular, focusing on implementing the riverside route and ecological urban projects along the Dong Nai River. Along with that, building a team of cadres to meet the requirements and tasks.

Bien Hoa Ward aims to develop culture, society, health, and education commensurate with economic development; ensure social security and improve people's quality of life. Focus on developing trade, services, and tourism, prioritizing service industries with high added value. Innovate the growth model associated with improving competitiveness in economic development. Arrange and perfect the organizational model, improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of local government operations.

Talking about the development potential of the ward in the coming term, Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary, Chairman of Bien Hoa Ward People's Council Vien Hong Tien said: The achievements in socio-economic development in recent years of Dong Nai province are an extremely important premise for the development of Bien Hoa ward in the following years. Focusing on implementing the planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; implementing key national projects, and regional transport projects connecting the province will bring many driving forces and opportunities to promote development and transform the local socio-economic structure.

After the merger, Bien Hoa ward now has 17 residential areas with a natural area of 21km2. The total population is nearly 75,000 people. In the 2025-2030 term, Bien Hoa ward Party Committee is determined to build a clean and strong Party and political system; promote the strength of great solidarity; make breakthroughs, innovate, and create; build the ward into a modern, civilized, and sustainably developed urban area.
