Tanker truck plunges into ravine, driver and passenger die in cabin

(NLDO) - While traveling on a steep and winding mountain pass, a tanker truck suddenly plunged into a ravine, killing two people on board.

According to initial information, the serious accident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. on January 7. At this time, the tanker with license plate 19H-054.xx carrying cement while traveling on Provincial Road 172, passing Ban Pass, Tan Thinh Commune, Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province, suddenly plunged into a deep ravine. The accident left the driver and passengers trapped in the cabin.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities and police arrived at the scene and mobilized a crane and local people to help bring the two victims out. However, both of them died.

Currently, the cause of the particularly serious traffic accident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
