On the evening of September 18, a representative of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Team 6), Department 6 of the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) said that from 7:30 a.m. on September 18, vehicles running on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressways will follow the instructions of Department C08.
Specifically, for passenger vans with 29 seats or more and trucks over 7.5 tons, tractor-trailers will run in the right lane in the direction of traffic (that is, the lane next to the emergency lane).
For the remaining vehicles such as: cars, trucks under 7.5 tons and passenger vans under 29 seats will run on the left lane in the direction of travel (lane close to the median strip).
The above classification of vehicles by lane aims to prevent slow-moving vehicles from sticking to the left lane, causing traffic congestion, reducing road efficiency, and at the same time preventing and reducing traffic accidents on highways.
Team 6 organizes traffic police teams to carry out tasks on the route, stopping at toll stations to broadcast propaganda, guide vehicles, and distribute leaflets (if any).
At the same time, when patrolling, traffic police teams must use loudspeakers to request any vehicle to change lanes and ensure it operates in accordance with regulations.
