Remove the position of Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee for Mr. Nguyen Ngoc

Accordingly, disciplinary action in the form of revoking the title of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province for the term 2011-2016 was taken against Mr. Nguyen Ngoc, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, due to violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Party Central Committee had already taken disciplinary action against him.

The disciplinary action period begins from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1510-QĐNS/TW dated August 27, 2024, of the Party Central Committee on disciplinary action.

Earlier, the Inspection Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee (14th term) held its 39th meeting.

At this meeting, the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee reviewed and concluded that in 2015, in his role as Vice Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc lacked responsibility in performing his assigned duties and agreed with the land price plan proposed by the Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

Mr. Ngoc advised the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to sign Decision No. 3371/QD-UBND dated November 25, 2015, approving the specific land price for calculating land use fees for 363,523.6 m2 of land permitted for conversion of land use purposes for the Phan Thiet Coastal Tourism Urban Area project, which lacked sufficient legal basis and caused significant losses to the State budget.
