Handling a bomb weighing more than 100kg with a dangerous detonator

The Military Command of Bac Ninh province said that the engineering force has inspected, surveyed, verified the origin, and determined the type of bomb weighing more than 100kg, discovered in a resident's garden. It is expected that on the night of July 10, the bomb will be moved to the National Shooting Range Area 1 for detonation.

Through inspection, the specialized agency determined that the bomb weighing more than 100kg, code AN-M88, survived the war, was intact, not dented, still had a fuse, and was very dangerous.

Previously, on July 8, while renovating his family's garden, Mr. Nguyen Van Mai, Mau Son village, Luc Nam commune, discovered a bomb lying about 50cm deep under the soil and immediately reported it to the authorities.

Immediately upon receiving the news, the Bac Ninh Provincial Military Command directed the engineering force to inspect, survey, verify the origin, and determine the type of bomb; at the same time, directed the engineering force to coordinate with other forces to blockade the scene, put up prohibition signs, danger zone signs, and assign forces to guard 24/7.

After implementing measures to ensure the safety of local people, the engineering force will handle the bomb according to regulations.
