On the evening of October 11th, Nam Dinh Green Steel Club posted a picture of striker Nguyen Xuan Son returning to the pitch after nearly 10 months out due to injury. He was brought on in the second half of Nam Dinh Green Steel's friendly match against PVF-CAND Youth, in preparation for round 6 of the LPBank V-League.
"More time is needed for a perfect return. Striker Xuan Son came on at the end of the second half in the friendly match between Nam Dinh FC and PVF-CAND Youth, marking his return after 10 months away from the pitch," Nam Dinh Steel Green FC announced.

Although he couldn't play the full 90 minutes, Xuan Son's return is very good news for the Nam Dinh team and the Vietnamese national team.
In fact, the striker born in 1997 has been training intensely for about a month now, but this is the first time he has been able to play in a match after nearly a year of recovering from injury.

Xuan Son was not registered for the first half of the V-League season, so the earliest he can return is in the second half. He has been registered by coach Vu Hong Viet to participate in the National Cup, the Southeast Asian Club Cup, and the AFC Champions League Two, but the exact time he can play is still uncertain. For the Vietnamese national team, the Brazilian striker is likely to return to action in the match against Malaysia at the end of March next year.
