Coping with storm number 3 overnight

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - In the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 3, from the night of July 21 to the morning of July 22, Thanh Hoa province has synchronously and drastically deployed storm prevention and control measures, proactively responding to all possible situations. The entire province focused on fighting the storm with the most urgent and drastic spirit to ensure the safety of people's lives and property and the State, minimizing the damage caused by the storm.

In Tam Chung commune, facing the complicated developments of storm No. 3, especially the possibility of prolonged heavy rain due to storm circulation, some areas in the commune are at very high risk of landslides, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune have urgently and proactively deployed response plans.

Accordingly, on the night of July 21, Tam Chung commune evacuated 94 people/15 households from areas at high risk of landslides.

The Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense (PCTT, TKCN&PTDS) of Tam Chung commune and villages and hamlets organize serious duty (24/24h) according to regulations.

In Na Meo commune, according to assessment, there are some areas at risk of landslides, affecting the safety and daily life of people.

With the participation of many local forces and the support of the Border Guard and Police, on July 21, Na Meo commune built a temporary shelter to meet the temporary shelter needs of people when landslides occur.

On the night of July 21, based on the complicated developments of storm No. 3 and warnings from professional agencies, Na Meo commune mobilized and organized a number of households to evacuate to ensure safety.

In Quy Loc commune, in addition to maintaining 24/7 duty in all villages, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune have established patrol and inspection teams to ensure traffic through the culverts at night.

Ho Vuong Commune Police force patrols villages and hamlets to promptly respond and support people when incidents occur.

Thanh Hoa province has been resolute in responding to natural disasters with the participation of the entire political system. On the night of July 21, all 166 communes and wards of the province mobilized maximum staff, armed forces and people to be on duty 24/7 to promptly handle any arising situations. Communication systems, storm warnings, and plans to evacuate people in dangerous areas were all prepared.
