On November 19th, Yen My district held a conference to announce and implement Resolution No. 1248/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated October 24, 2024, of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units in Hung Yen province for the period 2023-2025 (Resolution No. 1248). Attending the conference was Comrade Pham Van Khue, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department.
At the conference, delegates heard the announcement and implementation of Resolution No. 1248 and Plan No. 232/KH-BCĐ dated November 13, 2024, of the People's Committee of Yen My district on the implementation of Resolution No. 1248.
According to Resolution No. 1248, the administrative units at the commune level in Yen My district are reorganized as follows: Nguyen Van Linh commune is established by merging the entire natural area of 3.21 km2 and a population of 8,927 people from Nghia Hiep commune with the entire natural area of 6.08 km2 and a population of 8,631 people from Giai Pham commune. After the merger, Nguyen Van Linh commune has a natural area of 9.29 km2 and a population of 17,558 people.
The commune of Tân Minh was established by merging the entire natural area of 7.72 km2 and a population of 7,777 people from Lý Thường Kiệt commune with the entire natural area of 4.05 km2 and a population of 9,898 people from Tân Việt commune. After the merger, Tân Minh commune has a natural area of 11.77 km2 and a population of 17,675 people.
The commune of Viet Yen was established by merging the entire natural area of 3.62 km2 and a population of 6,814 people from Yen Hoa commune; the entire natural area of 3.43 km2 and a population of 5,544 people from Minh Chau commune; and the entire natural area of 2.62 km2 and a population of 4,875 people from Viet Cuong commune. After its establishment, Viet Yen commune has a natural area of 9.67 km2 and a population of 17,233 people.
The entire natural area of 3.41 km2 and a population of 10,040 people of Trung Hung commune were merged into Yen My town. After the merger, Yen My town has a natural area of 7.46 km2 and a population of 27,617 people.
After the reorganization, Yen My district has 12 commune-level administrative units, including 11 communes and 1 town.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Pham Van Khue, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, requested that in the coming period, Party committees and authorities at the district and grassroots levels should strengthen information and propaganda work to ensure that cadres, Party members, and the people understand and continue to agree to implement Resolution No. 1248; ensure that tasks are carried out on schedule; complete the plans for arranging cadres, civil servants, and non-specialized personnel in communes and towns subject to administrative unit restructuring; fully hand over and receive relevant documents and records in accordance with regulations; and arrange, manage, and use offices and public assets after restructuring in accordance with regulations.
