According to information from the Vietnam Textile and Garment Association, in 2024 - for the second time - the association will organize for businesses to participate in the Global Sourcing Expo Australia (taking place from November 19-21, in Melbourne, Australia) combined with market research and trade promotion in Australia.

The products that Vietnamese textile and garment businesses brought to introduce and display at the exhibition were quite diverse, including: sportswear, jackets, denim, dresses, women's fashion , children's clothing, various types of highly applicable fabrics, and hats and caps.
The Vietnamese booth, with its wide variety of products, materials, and designs that meet market trends, and its easily accessible location, attracted the majority of attention from visitors and those working with Vietnamese businesses.
On the opening day of the fair, Vietnamese textile and garment businesses welcomed 100 visitors to their booths. According to the participating businesses, this year's fair attracted more visitors than last year, and most were satisfied and hopeful about the results achieved after the fair.
Diversifying export markets and products has been a consistent direction of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Association over the years. Alongside the textile and garment business community, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnamese Trade Office in Australia have also actively promoted and supported businesses in participating in trade promotion activities and product advertising in this market.
Statistics from the General Department of Customs show that in the first 10 months of 2024, Vietnam exported over US$446 million to the Australian market. Experts believe this turnover could increase further as both countries are currently members of the ASEAN-Australia/New Zealand Free Trade Agreement; the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans- Pacific Partnership Agreement; and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
At the same time, Vietnamese garments are increasingly favored by Australian consumers, helping to increase the competitiveness of these products in the local market.
