(NLDO)- Passengers are not allowed to carry explosives, eat, drink, smoke, bring pets, or organize art performances when taking metro train No. 1.
Before the official commercial operation of metro line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) (December 22), the Urban Railway Management Board issued many recommendations for train passengers.
Specifically, many behaviors will be prohibited when passengers board metro train No. 1. Therefore, passengers are required to:
1/ Do not carry flammable, explosive, dangerous substances or objects prohibited by law.
2/ Do not eat, drink, or smoke (including electronic cigarettes) in elevators or in ticket-checked areas, platforms, or on trains.
3/ Do not use roller skates in areas inside the station
4/ Do not talk loudly or use mobile devices at high volume, causing discomfort or disturbing surrounding passengers.
5/ Do not bring food or strong-smelling objects onto the train. If you bring food or food, you MUST use a tightly tied plastic bag to avoid causing odor or spillage on the train and the station area; you MUST NOT use it until you leave the station area.
6/ Do not bring pets on board; except small pets which can be kept in cages or sealed bags.
7/ Do not bring balloons into the station area and waiting area on the train.
8/ Do not organize art performances or shoot promotional videos in the station area or on the train (except in licensed cases).

9/ For elevated stations, passengers are absolutely not allowed to lean or extend their arms beyond the height of the barrier door or platform.
10/ Do not lean against the train doors and always keep your hands away from the train door slots. Do not open the train windows without permission. Do not cross the yellow safety line drawn at the platform barrier area.
Do not litter or throw hard objects on the platform and track area. Do not attempt to board or leave the train when the train doors are closing or when the closing signal is given. Do not harass or violate public morals and ethics towards passengers and operators. Do not solicit, solicit to buy or sell or sell goods on the street. Do not carry weapons or support tools unless authorized by a licensed person.
Metro Line 1 will officially start commercial operation at 7am on December 22. During the first 30 days of official operation, passengers will be able to take the train for free as well as free bus fares for 17 new electric bus routes connecting to Metro Line 1 stations.
