2,500 plane and train tickets to take workers home for Tet

On the afternoon of October 30, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) said: Implementing Plan No. 34/KH-TLĐ dated October 15, 2025 of the Presidium of the VGCL on organizing activities to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the program to support means of transport for union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to work after Tet has been prepared.

This activity aims to reduce the financial burden for union members and workers in difficult circumstances; at the same time, to honor individuals with outstanding achievements in labor and production. Accordingly, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will organize the "Union Flight - Spring 2026".

“The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor allocates 500 one-way air tickets and 500 gifts, worth 300,000 VND/gift (cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor, Dong Nai Confederation of Labor, and Tay Ninh Confederation of Labor to support union members and workers to return home for Tet. Each person in this category is allowed to be accompanied by 1 person (husband/wife, father, mother, child)” - Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha said.

In addition to the above program, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor allocated 2,000 round-trip train tickets and 2,000 gifts worth VND 300,000 each (cash) to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Confederation, Dong Nai Province Labor Confederation, Tay Ninh Province Labor Confederation, and Vietnam Railways Trade Union to support union members and workers to return home for Tet. Each person in this category is allowed to be accompanied by no more than 3 people (husband/wife, father, mother, children).

The funding for organizing the "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2026" and "Trade Union Train - Spring 2026" is taken from the trade union financial resources of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; socialized sources; and support from partners who have signed cooperation agreements with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
