Quang Tri and Salavan provinces (Laos) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the 2024 period.

The talks took place on the basis of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the 2022-2024 period between the Fronts of Quang Tri and Salavan provinces (Laos) signed on June 8, 2022, in Salavan province.

At the same time, to continue strengthening the relationship of solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the period 2024 - 2026 was signed between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province and the Lao Front Committee for National Construction of Salavan province.

The meeting was chaired and organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province.

Attending the talks, on the side of Quang Tri province, there were: Mr. Dao Manh Hung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - head of the delegation.

On the side of Salavan province, there were: Mr. Kham Ta Ho Song Luong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction Committee of the province - head of the delegation and members of the working delegation.

At the meeting, leaders of the Fronts of the two provinces reviewed the results of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation for the 2022-2024 period between the two agencies signed on June 8, 2022 in Salavan province.

In which, the two sides agreed that in the period of 2022 - 2024, the two agencies have made efforts to overcome difficulties and effectively implement the contents signed in the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the period of 2022 - 2024, in Salavan province. From the implementation of the contents signed in the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the period of 2022 - 2024, the two sides raised issues for discussion towards a more effective cooperation process in the period of 2024 - 2026 of the Fronts of the two provinces.

Also at the meeting, delegates from the two delegations had presentations, exchanged experiences, discussed and reached an agreement on the organization of work implementation in the 2024 - 2026 period with many contents.

In his closing speech, Mr. Dao Manh Hung highly appreciated the preparations of the two provinces' Fronts for this event. The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province believes that the relationship between the two provinces' Fronts in the 2024-2026 period will be raised to a new level, the two provinces will achieve many results, improving the quality of life of the people both materially and spiritually.
