According to a report from Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company , at 4:00 PM on September 29th, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang reservoir was at an elevation of 118.86m, the downstream water level was 50.20m, the inflow into the reservoir was 1,221 m3/s, and the total outflow to the downstream area was 579 m3/s.
In accordance with the Inter-Reservoir Operation Procedure on the Red River Basin as stipulated in Decision No. 740/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2019, of the Prime Minister, and Decision No. 922/QD-TTg dated May 14, 2025, of the Prime Minister amending and supplementing some articles of the Inter-Reservoir Operation Procedure on the Red River Basin, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment orders the Director of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company: Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir will open one bottom discharge gate at 8:00 PM on September 29.
To minimize damage caused by natural disasters, the Provincial Civil Defense Command requests that localities and organizations closely monitor the developments of rain and floods, ensure the safety of structures; move fish cages to safe locations; strictly prohibit people from fishing or collecting firewood when water levels are high; and proactively prepare all plans to prevent and combat rain, floods , and rising river levels.
