The 16th National Radio Festival - 2024, coordinated by the Voice of Vietnam , Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Radio and Television Station, will take place from July 9-14.

The festival has the participation of 81 units (63 provincial and municipal Radio and Television Stations, units of the Voice of Vietnam, the People's Army Radio and Television Center, the People's Public Security Communications Department), with 380 works in 6 genres: reportage, thematic programs, interviews, ethnic language radio programs, radio stories, and live radio programs.
Five award categories will be presented at the Festival: Digital Platform Application, Podcast, Outstanding Production Technique, Golden Voice, Outstanding Host. Notably, this year's Festival has a sharp increase in live radio programs with 37 participating units (2022 has 29 units).

Digital transformation brings many benefits to journalists in general and radio in particular, increasing public access, contributing to improving the quality, content of programs, and methods of expression in the program production process. In addition, it also increases the ability of the public to interact and participate in journalism activities, thereby creating new business models.
After the preliminary round held in Tuyen Quang province, the jury selected 228 works from 81 units to enter the final round. Specifically: 53 works in the reportage genre; 28 works in the interview genre; 30 radio stories; 48 radio specials; 32 ethnic language radio programs: 37 live radio programs.
Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee affirmed: The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, Thanh Hoa Provincial Radio and Television Station and Voice of Vietnam will closely coordinate to create the best conditions for the Festival to be successfully organized, leaving many impressions. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the province to thousands of cadres, reporters and editors from all over the country, showing the hospitality and affection of Thanh Hoa people to friends and colleagues.

As planned, the opening ceremony of the festival will be held at 8:00 p.m. on July 11, and the closing ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. on July 13 at Lam Son Theater, Thanh Hoa province. The program will be broadcast live on VTC1, VOVTV, TTV channels; broadcast live on VOV1, VOV2, VOV3; online on VOV.VN Electronic Newspaper, VTCNews, VOV Live application, VOV Media and other digital platforms of the Voice of Vietnam; and rebroadcast on Radio and Television stations of provinces and cities.
Within the framework of the final round of the Festival, Voice of Vietnam and Thanh Hoa Provincial Radio and Television organized exciting professional, cultural and sports activities, creating forums for exchanges, meetings and experience sharing such as: International Workshop "Digital Transformation of Radio: International and Vietnamese Practices", Program "9th National Exchange of Cheo Art Lovers in 2024" and "For Healthy Waves" Run.
The National Radio Festival is held every two years to discover and honor outstanding authors and works of radio journalists nationwide.

This is also a festival for radio journalists, to honor excellent radio works; an opportunity for journalists, editors, and reporters to exchange, learn, improve their skills, and contribute to improving the quality of radio programs.
