According to the organizing committee, as of November 15, there were 1,866 valid works of all genres sent from central and local press agencies and non-professional authors. Of which, print and electronic newspapers had about 1,300 works; radio and television about 566 works.

The final jury selected 34 best works to award 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 10 consolation prizes and 12 special prizes. Each A prize winner will receive a prize of up to 50 million VND.

This year, the National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam has a new category "Writing Contest to Learn about the 95th Anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers' Association" - on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (1930 - 2025). The Organizing Committee and the Jury have evaluated, met and reached a high consensus on 11 most deserving works to award prizes. Of which, there is 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 5 consolation prizes.

According to the organizers' assessment, most of the entries have deeply reflected the transition from traditional agricultural production to a multi-value economic model, green agriculture, circular economy, and advanced models. There have been many excellent entries focusing on writing and reflecting on the model of a new, civilized, modern farmer, portraits of outstanding, inspiring Vietnamese farmers. There have also been a series of articles expressing the concerns of journalists about the conflicting issues arising in the new context of the current agricultural sector.

Besides those bright spots, journalists also show their dedication, not afraid of hardships and dangers to carry out exclusive investigative series, determined to shed light on hidden corners and "dark areas" that exist in the fields of agriculture, farmers and rural areas.

Journalist Nguyen Van Hoai, Editor-in-Chief of Nong Thon Ngay Nay/Dan Viet Newspaper, Head of the organizing committee, said that this is the third year the award has been held and has received the response of hundreds of press agencies sending entries, which proves that agriculture is always a fertile land for reporters and press agencies to exploit.

"Through the submitted works, a very new and modern image of farmers with many billionaire farmers and innovative farmers was drawn. With the theme of the countryside, through the works participating in the contest, we can see that the picture of the countryside is changing strongly, from building new rural areas to advanced, exemplary new rural areas and there are more and more livable villages appearing," said Mr. Hoai.

The 3rd National Press Awards Ceremony on Agriculture, Farmers, and Rural Areas of Vietnam in 2025 and the Writing Contest to learn about the 95th tradition of the Vietnam Farmers' Association will be solemnly held at the Au Co Art Center (Hanoi) and broadcast live on VTV2 ( Vietnam Television ).
