A series of landslides have appeared, causing traffic congestion on National Highway 24C connecting Quang Ngai to the mountainous communes of Da Nang City. Quang Ngai province is urgently working to restore traffic and implement safety measures at the landslide sites.

More than 700 cubic meters of rock and soil have collapsed onto National Highway 24C at Km 79+150 through Thanh Bong commune, Quang Ngai province, causing traffic congestion for the past two days. In addition to this landslide, there are 14 other landslides on National Highway 24C through Quang Ngai province with more than 2,100 cubic meters of rock and soil spilling onto the road.
On the night of October 26, the Traffic Police and local police set up checkpoints, preventing people from passing through. Today, the Quang Ngai Department of Construction mobilized vehicles and machinery to access the landslide sites to temporarily clear the route, preventing prolonged congestion.
According to statistics, Quang Ngai province has had over 30 landslides on national highways and provincial roads. By this afternoon, all landslides had been temporarily cleared. If heavy rain continues, the risk of landslides causing traffic jams will continue to occur. The Department of Construction of Quang Ngai province has patrolled, posted signs, and ensured safety in areas at risk of landslides.
