On November 7th, the Front Committee of residential areas 1, 2, and 3 in Tan Phu ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, solemnly organized the 2024 National Unity Day.
The event serves as a platform to review the traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, assess the results of campaigns and emulation movements in 2024, and register for emulation projects in 2025; people participate in contributing opinions related to practical issues in their residential areas; and exemplary individuals are honored for their "Good People - Good Deeds"...
Over the past year, the political system of neighborhoods 1, 2, and 3 has united to effectively implement the contents of residential area development, in conjunction with the "National Unity for Building New Rural Areas and Civilized Urban Areas" campaign; building a residential area of Unity - Compassion - Self-governance.
This has led to the emergence of new models and exemplary practices in social welfare work, caring for policy beneficiary families, elderly people living alone, and households in difficult circumstances.
The results included providing over 100 gifts during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), mobilizing resources, awarding scholarships, and caring for 150 students during the Mid-Autumn Festival and International Children's Day (June 1st), with a total budget of 20 million VND.
At the same time, neighborhoods also organize campaigns to raise awareness among the people about environmental protection, linked to building urban aesthetics; and creating clean, environmentally friendly streets and alleys.
Mr. Pham Anh Hao (Tan My apartment building, Block 3, Tan Phu Ward) assessed that, although there were many tasks to be addressed in the area in 2024, the neighborhood officials made efforts to implement them, resulting in positive outcomes. The most notable example is the renovation of the park into a clean, green space, attracting many residents to exercise and play there. “The park's renovation contributes to better security for residents, the problem of littering has been eliminated, and the environment has improved. Our quality of life has significantly improved,” Mr. Hao happily stated.
On this occasion, leaders of the City Front and leaders of District 7 also presented many gifts to support poor households in the three neighborhoods.
