Impressions of the Red Flamboyant Festival 'Hai Phong'

The program was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, former President Truong Tan Sang, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and many leaders of central ministries and agencies; leaders of provinces and cities; representatives of international organizations and diplomatic agencies.

The Red Flamboyant Festival is an annual event and has become a typical traditional festival, the pride of Hai Phong people. This event aims to promote and introduce the land and people of Hai Phong.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: Hai Phong attaches special importance to the cultural values ​​and spiritual life of the people. Because this is the driving force, the endogenous strength, the source of all development. Hai Phong is the "frontier of the waves", the "eastern fence" to protect the country; Hai Phong city is always proud of its tradition of "brave and determined to win". In recent years, despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and conflicts in Europe, Hai Phong's economic growth rate has remained high, with an average of 13.2% GRDP per year for 7 consecutive years, and in the first 3 months of this year, GRDP was 3 times higher than the national average.

Hai Phong has been focusing on investing in building a regional transportation system to expand economic space; expanding urban areas towards the sea and moving the political and administrative center to the North of Cam River by 2025. The locality is also taking the lead in solving old apartment buildings and is striving to be a leader in developing social housing.

The art program with the theme “Hai Phong – Shining coastal region” was elaborately staged with a youthful, vibrant, impressive style, bearing the mark of the land and people of Hai Phong.

The art program consists of 3 parts: “City of the Rising Sun”, “Red Phoenix Heart” and “Hai Phong – Shining Coastal Region” performed by famous singers and artists.

The art program has a special performance, elaborately staged to the melody of the theme song written specifically for the Red Flamboyant Festival called "Hai Phong - Shining in the coastal region" through the performance of artists combined with drones to create extremely special effects on stage and in the sky.
