[Photo] Announcement ceremony of the national walking activity "Moving forward with Vietnam"

On the afternoon of August 11, Nhan Dan Newspaper coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to hold a press conference to announce the national walking activity "Forwarding with Vietnam" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and People's Public Security Tradition Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

Comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Head of the Steering Committee for the "Moving Forward with Vietnam" activity, spoke at the press conference.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh said: There have been about 160 million steps on the registration portal over the past week, reaching 1/7 of the desired number of steps. On August 16, before the nationwide walking event, there will be a connection with the flag-raising ceremony in front of Uncle Ho's Mausoleum in 33 provinces and cities.

Major General Le Hong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Affairs, Ministry of Public Security , shared that recently, units under the Ministry of Public Security and police in localities nationwide have simultaneously launched preparations, coordinated organization and participation in activities. This is one of the specific and practical activities to build a healthy environment, improve physical and mental health in propagating the law to the people; build a movement for the whole people to protect the security and protect the Fatherland, contributing to affirming to international friends about a united, progressive and responsible Vietnam in the international community.

Ms. Doan Hong Nhung, member of the Executive Board, Director of Retail Division, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam - the accompanying brand of the national walking activity "Moving forward with Vietnam" shared at the press conference. Through the journey "1 billion green steps", Vietcombank not only responded to the call for 34 provinces and cities to connect and spread the spirit of sports training and environmental protection but also directly contributed to connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts, spreading humanistic values, adding positive energy to join the country in moving forward into a new era.

Representatives of the Organizing Committee informed about the national walking activity "Moving forward with Vietnam". The activity takes place from July 25 to August 16, 2025. People across the country can register online and walk every day, contributing to the journey of "1 billion steps into the new era".

In particular, from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m. on August 16, people in 34 provinces and cities with 3,321 communes, wards, and administrative zones will simultaneously wear red shirts with yellow stars, sing the national anthem, and march together for a united, strong, and sustainable Vietnam.

Mr. Noh Seung Woo, Director of Communications at Samsung Vietnam, expressed his honor and emotion when the company was able to participate in a connecting event, where “millions of hearts beat together”.

According to a representative of Samsung Vietnam, "Moving Forward with Vietnam" is also in line with Samsung's programs to encourage physical exercise, build a healthy lifestyle and protect the environment. Every step of Samsung will be part of this meaningful campaign, contributing to promoting the program widely.

Do Dong Hung, Head of Communications Department, Vietnam Airlines Corporation shared: "We are pleased to be one of the sponsors of the program. The program has practical meaning during the occasion of many important events of the country. This is especially consistent with the message of Vietnam Airlines, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Corporation's establishment". Mr. Do Dong Hung expressed that Vietnam Airlines wishes to spread the message of the program through its media system. At the same time, he also committed that Vietnam Airlines' activities will connect the program with international friends when they come to Vietnam.

Mr. Do Ngoc Duong, Chairman of the TPR Thong Nhat Park Running Club, shared that when he approached the event through social media, he was overwhelmed by the scale of the event. TPR Thong Nhat Park Running Club will enthusiastically participate and contribute volunteers to the program.
