Three family members in Lam Dong tragically drowned

The incident occurred at around 3:30 p.m. on June 22 in Dong Nai Thuong commune, Cat Tien district, Lam Dong province.

At that time, 3 people including Le Thi Hue (29 years old), her son Dinh Duc Vy (10 years old) and her 16-year-old nephew, went to Be De reservoir in Be De village, Dong Nai Thuong commune to play.

While playing next to the reservoir, Vy unfortunately slipped and fell into the lake.

Seeing this, Ms. Hue and her niece swam out to save them. However, the lake water was too deep and all three people were drowned.

The incident was discovered by some children playing nearby, so they ran into the village to inform local people to come to the rescue.

Upon receiving the news, the rescue team arrived at the scene and coordinated with Cat Tien District Police and local authorities to deploy rescue plans for the victims.

By 4:40 p.m. the same day, the rescue team had recovered the bodies of three victims. It is known that Be De irrigation lake is about 2 hectares wide, with a water depth of 5-15 meters. Local authorities have put up many danger warning signs.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuc - Chairman of Cat Tien District People's Committee - said that the victims' families all have difficult circumstances, having to work for hire, making a living, and making a living.
