On the evening of December 7, social networks were "stirred up" when a series of posts shared a statistical table of cases of duplicate "adoption" codes. According to the shared link, there were nearly 40 duplicate codes, each code had 2-3 benefactors adopting a child.
At 10 p.m. the same day, the founder of the Raising Children project – Hoang Hoa Trung confirmed that before December 6, the project had never recorded a case of two sponsors raising the same child.

Founder Hoang Hoa Trung confirmed that there had been no cases of duplicate codes recorded until December 6.
He said the team is reviewing each specific case to provide the “most complete and accurate” answers to each donor.
According to Hoang Hoa Trung, the project will back up all data about foster parents and information about each child, then cross-check it in three places: the Nurturing Children project system, the school board and teachers at the schools, the police agency and local authorities.
Donors can proactively contact the project or partner units to check their breeding code, with a commitment to comply with personal data security regulations.
Hoang Hoa Trung said that the duplicate code case occurred because the code NEKTUM02767 that the sponsor received in August 2025 actually belonged to the 2024-2025 school year, and the money was still missing because the previous sponsor had not paid enough.
When the project transitions to the 2025–2026 school year, it asks the sponsor if they want to continue to support the child; if they receive a “no” answer, the code must be revoked in time to find a new host, to avoid the system misunderstanding that the sponsorship is still ongoing.
The project affirms that the sponsor has paid in full for the 2024–2025 school year and still retains full rights such as receiving photos, monthly information and visitation rights.
Regarding the question " What is the use of the donation money when children in the highlands are about to receive support under Decree 66? ", Hoang Hoa Trung said that the project will only be implemented in localities that have sent requests for support through the Department of Education and Training or schools, ensuring that these are locations that have not yet received lunch allowances under the Decree.
Also in the latest post, the founder of the Nuoi Em project said that on Monday (December 8), he will work with Vietcombank to freeze account 0711000280294 for 15 days to compile all income and expenditure over the past years, and invite an independent third party to audit because he himself "is not sure he did it 100% correctly". The freezing of the account coincides with the suspension of money to feed the students in the project.
After founder Hoang Hoa Trung spoke up, the online community reacted strongly. Many people thought that the explanation of the founder of Nuoi Em was not satisfactory.

Faced with suspicions of lack of transparency, Hoang Hoa Trung announced a temporary suspension of the project "Raising Children" to clarify the suspicions.
The Feed the Children project was initiated in 2014 with the aim of providing quality meals to ethnic minority children. Each donor “adopts” a child through a small daily donation, helping schools maintain their kitchens and significantly reducing the rate of student dropouts.
However, on the evening of December 6, the incident related to the Nuoi Em charity project began to explode on social networks when many accounts posted text messages, questioning the financial transparency of the program.
One Threads user said he received a “foster” code and paid in August 2025. However, in November, the project continued to text asking for payment for the 2025-2026 school year, making them wonder why they had to pay twice in just three months.
Another case reflects that the child they adopted was actually removed from the list in January 2025, but the project only announced it in December 2025. Notably, in August 2025, the project still sent a message asking this person to continue contributing to that same child.
Some accounts also discovered that their “foster” code was the same as someone else’s. In addition, the fact that the project has been operating for many years but still receives donations through the personal account number of founder Hoang Hoa Trung also makes many people doubt the transparency of the project.
