Discussing improving the quality of social criticism activities

The workshop was chaired and organized by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the participation of 80 delegates from 11 southern provinces and cities.

In his opening speech and introduction to the workshop, MSc. Vo Van Thien - Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the Southern Working Committee affirmed that social criticism activities are one of the basic rights and responsibilities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, aiming to promote the people's mastery in participating in Party building, building the State apparatus, and building laws; making the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws increasingly more suitable to the reality of social life, expressing the will, aspirations, rights and legitimate interests of all classes of people.

Mr. Vo Van Thien suggested that the delegates attending the conference analyze and evaluate the current status of the quality of social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Thereby, propose specific and practical solutions and recommendations to contribute to improving the quality of social criticism activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the locality in the coming time.

Mr. Bui Chi Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee provided delegates with the political basis and legal basis for social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. Improving the quality of social criticism activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, especially at the grassroots level, is an important factor, determining the core values, position and role of the Fatherland Front in the political system and in society; practicing socialist democracy, promoting the people's mastery in the mechanism of Party leadership, State management, and people's mastery...

Within the framework of the workshop, delegates participated in 8 direct comments, or sent papers to the organizing committee, focusing on contributing solutions to improve the quality of social criticism activities, and at the same time, improving the quality of the staff doing criticism work.

In his speech summarizing the comments and closing the workshop, Mr. Le Mau Nhiem, Director of the Center for BDCB and Scientific Research of the Front, assessed that with the spirit of urgent and serious work and high sense of responsibility, the workshop took place successfully, according to the set plan.

At the same time, the results of the workshop will contribute to advising the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the content to improve the quality of social criticism activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, applying it to leadership and management work in the Front system, and in the immediate future, contributing to the preparation process for the successful organization of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (scheduled to be held in October 2024).
