Host nation Thailand is still leading with 12 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals, far ahead of the other delegations. The Vietnamese sports delegation, with 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals, has surpassed Myanmar (2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal).
Following closely behind are the Indonesian, Singaporean, Malaysian, and Philippine delegations. Laos and Brunei also won medals at the SEA Games, currently ranking 8th and 9th respectively. Timor Leste, however, is at the bottom of the list with no medals yet.

The 33rd SEA Games will take place from December 9 to 20 at three main venues: Chonburi, Bangkok and Songkhla. This Games is expected to have about 9,366 athletes participating, competing in 50 sports.
SEA Games 33 will have a total of 574 sets of medals awarded, 10 sets less than the last SEA Games.
