The 2015 U11 Children's Football Tournament – Dak Nong Newspaper Cup was the first of its kind held in the province, organized by Dak Nong Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and with the support and assistance of the People's Committees of the districts and cities in the province.

The tournament will bring together 8 teams, representing various localities. The participating players are elementary school students born in 2014 or later, meeting requirements regarding academic performance, conduct, and health. The tournament will be played in a 5-a-side mini-football format and is expected to start in late May or early June 2025 in Gia Nghia City.

In parallel, the Dak Nong Marathon 2025 - Conquering Southern Central Highlands, organized by Dak Nong Newspaper in collaboration with Vietpro Media Development Joint Stock Company, the 5:30 AM Community - Fun and Healthy Every Day, and the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is the first sporting event of its kind to be held in Dak Nong.

The race will take place over two days, May 31st and June 1st, in Gia Nghia City, and is expected to attract approximately 4,000 professional and amateur athletes, journalists, reporters, citizens, and marathon clubs from across the country. Athletes will compete in five distances: Kids Run 2km, 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km.

The U11 Children's Football Tournament and the Dak Nong Marathon 2025 are key activities within the series of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21st), and also serve as a celebration of the 13th Congress of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Beyond its sporting significance, the tournament also contributes to promoting the image of Dak Nong's beautiful natural scenery, friendly people, and rich cultural identity to friends both domestically and internationally.

Beyond its sporting aspect, the tournament also carries a profound humanitarian significance, aiming to mobilize social resources to donate gifts and build houses for disadvantaged families in the province, with a total estimated support value of approximately 300 million VND.

At the meeting, the Organizing Committee members updated the progress of preparations, from the list of participating athletes, venues, race routes, logistical arrangements, and medical services. Every detail was discussed to ensure that the two tournaments would be organized in a systematic, thorough, safe, and effective manner.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vu Ngoc Tu, Editor-in-Chief of Dak Nong Newspaper and Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and practical contributions of the participating members.
The Head of the Organizing Committee requested that the relevant units continue to demonstrate a proactive spirit, coordinate closely, and expedite the completion of the remaining tasks.
The goal is to ensure that the competitions are not only successful in terms of professional standards and organization, but also leave a lasting impression on athletes, tourists, and locals about Dak Nong as a friendly, professional, and culturally rich region.
