This morning, July 26th, Hanoi Moi Newspaper and Quang Tri Newspaper jointly organized a gift-giving ceremony for former Youth Volunteers and some particularly disadvantaged individuals in Quang Tri province to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th, 1947-2024). The Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper and Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Truong Duc Minh Tu, and the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Luong Chi Cong, attended the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Luong Chi Cong, expressed deep gratitude for the contributions of the former Youth Volunteers. Over the years, Hanoi Moi Newspaper has not only fulfilled its propaganda duties well but has also connected with businesses to carry out many charitable activities, aiming to care for, support, and show appreciation to policy beneficiaries in Hanoi and throughout the country.

The gifts presented today are a token of appreciation from journalists and businesses to those who dedicated their youth and sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland. We hope that this sentiment will help alleviate their difficulties and provide motivation for the former Youth Volunteers of Quang Tri province to thrive in life.

On this occasion, the leaders of Hanoi Moi Newspaper and Quang Tri Newspaper presented 60 gift packages, each consisting of 1 million VND in cash and gifts, worth 1.2 million VND, to former Youth Volunteers and some particularly disadvantaged individuals in Quang Tri province.

Mr. Truong Van Thanh, residing in Phuong Gia neighborhood, Dong Le ward, Dong Ha city, emotionally said: “Currently, I face many difficulties in life due to poor health and numerous illnesses. Receiving this meaningful gift from Hanoi Moi Newspaper and Quang Tri Newspaper, I feel very happy and grateful. This gift helps me to better care for my health and also motivates me to overcome the difficulties in my life.”

Chairman of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Quang Tri Province, Le Cong Binh, said: “Thanks to the attention of the Party, the State, Quang Tri province, and the press, businesses, and benevolent individuals, the work of caring for the lives of former youth volunteers is getting better and better. However, many former youth volunteers still face difficult circumstances...”

The gifts presented today by Hanoi Moi Newspaper and Quang Tri Newspaper have brought much joy to the former Youth Volunteers. On behalf of the officials and members of the former Youth Volunteers Association of Quang Tri province, I would like to express my sincere gratitude and hope that in the future, the two newspapers and benevolent businesses and individuals will continue to do many practical things to support and care for the lives of former Youth Volunteers.”
