On the morning of October 20, Military Hospital 7 (Logistics - Technical Department, Military Region 3) held a ceremony to receive the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal and celebrate the 75th anniversary of the hospital's traditional day (October 20, 1950 - October 20, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Major General Ha Tat Dat, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3; Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Ha Tat Dat, Deputy Commander of Military Region 3, praised the results and achievements of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, officers and soldiers of the hospital in 75 years of construction and growth.

He requested that in the coming time, Military Hospital 7 should continue to strictly implement the resolutions and directives of superiors on military and defense tasks, protection and health care for soldiers and people; innovate working style towards efficiency, dedication, reducing inconvenience for patients; and well implement Uncle Ho's teaching "A good doctor is like a compassionate mother".

Military Hospital 7, formerly known as the two medical teams AVT1 and AVT2, was established by the Campaign Command on October 20, 1950 in Vo Tranh commune, Thai Nguyen province with the mission of providing emergency aid and treating wounded soldiers in campaigns.

Despite the difficult and inadequate physical conditions and the heavy devastation of war, with the motto "all for wounded and sick soldiers", generations of hospital staff and soldiers have not feared hardship and sacrifice to save thousands of wounded and sick soldiers during the resistance wars.

In 1970, the hospital moved to Hai Duong town (now Thanh Dong ward, Hai Phong) and gradually developed steadily.

From a medical unit that grew up during the war with limited facilities, Military Hospital 7 has now become a Grade I hospital, a final-level general hospital of Military Region 3. The infrastructure is spacious and modern with high-rise treatment, examination and command buildings; equipment is invested synchronously, meeting the health care needs of soldiers and people.

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the hospital received and treated more than 100,000 inpatients, 1.2 times higher than the target set by the resolution of the term. Many specialized techniques were successfully deployed such as hip replacement surgery, fibrinolysis in stroke treatment, arthroscopic shoulder - knee surgery, microsurgery, brain surgery, percutaneous urinary stone lithotripsy... contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and affirming the reputation of the unit.

In scientific research, the hospital has dozens of national and ministerial level projects, many of which have won awards at all levels and have been effectively applied in diagnosis and treatment.

With its outstanding achievements, Military Hospital 7 was awarded the title "Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces" by the Party and State, and many first, second, and third class Military Exploit and Military Exploit Orders.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its tradition, the hospital was honored to receive the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal from the President.
