With the aim of meeting the increasing treatment needs of infertile couples in Thai Nguyen province and the northern mountainous region, on February 21, 2023, Thai Nguyen Central Hospital established the Department of Assisted Reproductive Technology and invested in modern facilities and equipment imported from countries with advanced medical systems.
The hospital's team of doctors, nurses, and technicians have continuously strived to master in-vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques, performing complex IVF procedures such as CO2 incubators, incubators, centrifuges, inverted microscopes, micromanipulation systems, IVF labs, and separate gas rooms... capable of handling 300-500 IVF cases per year.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Cong Hoang, Director of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital, said: Being recognized as a unit authorized to perform in-vitro fertilization is an important step forward in the research and development of scientific progress in general, and the field of assisted reproduction in particular, for the hospital.
In-vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques performed at Thai Nguyen Central Hospital open up opportunities for infertile couples in and outside Thai Nguyen province to have children and become parents, helping patients save on living and travel expenses.
