Binh Phuoc: Arrested a subject who used a knife to stab a motorbike taxi driver to rob his property

On July 30, information from Bu Dop District Police, Binh Phuoc Province, the unit coordinated with functional forces to arrest Lai Van Phat Nhat Truong (born in 1993, residing in Quarter 2, Thac Mo Ward, Phuoc Long Town) to investigate the act of murder and robbery.

Initial information, at around 8:00 p.m. on July 29, Lai Van Phat Nhat Truong hired Mr. Nguyen Van Khai (born in 1968, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) to work as a motorbike taxi driver, to take this subject from Ho Chi Minh City to Bu Dop district. At around 0:00 a.m. on the same day, when reaching a deserted road near Hoang Dieu Border Gate, Phuoc Thien Commune, Bu Dop District, bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia, Truong used a kitchen knife to repeatedly stab Mr. Khai in an attempt to kill and rob him.

Despite being stabbed repeatedly, Mr. Khai still tried to resist and called for help from the people. When some people arrived, Truong panicked and ran away.

After receiving the victim's report, after 10 hours of investigation, at noon on July 30, Bu Dop District Police coordinated with forces from Hoang Dieu Border Guard Station and the Provincial Police's Criminal Police Department to arrest Truong. At Bu Dop District Police, the suspect admitted all his crimes.

The case is currently being investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.
