On November 1st, the State Securities Commission held a conference to circulate the decision of the Chairman of the State Securities Commission regarding personnel matters.
Accordingly, Mr. Do Anh Vu, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Securities Commission, has been appointed to the position of Chief of the Office.
Mr. Bui Vu Hoang, Deputy Director of the Securities Market Supervision Department, has been appointed as Director of the Securities Market Supervision Department.
Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh, Deputy Director of the Securities Market Development Department, has been appointed as Director of the Securities Market Development Department.
The above decisions are effective from today (November 1st).
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Vu Thi Chan Phuong, Chairwoman of the Securities Commission, stated that the three newly appointed personnel are experienced professionals with many years of experience in the securities industry, and that the personnel transfers and appointments were carried out in accordance with proper procedures.
Regarding personnel matters at the Securities Commission, in early May this year, the Ministry of Finance leadership issued a decision appointing Mr. Bui Hoang Hai to the position of Vice Chairman of the State Securities Commission.
Mr. Hai previously held positions such as head of the Securities Business Management Department and head of the Securities Offering Management Department...
Currently, the leadership of the State Securities Commission is focusing on accelerating the removal of bottlenecks and speeding up the process of upgrading the stock market.
Notably, this includes the issuance of Circular 68, which amends and supplements several articles of the circulars regulating securities transactions on the securities trading system; clearing and settlement of securities transactions.
Mr. Bui Hoang Hai, Vice Chairman of the State Securities Commission, said that Circular No. 68, with its important content on non-pre-funding, is the result of a rapid drafting process aimed at continuing to pursue the goal of upgrading and maintaining the upgraded status.
At a recent conference organized by the Securities Commission to introduce the new regulations to market participants, securities companies reported that many clients responded positively to the new regulations.
Without having to deposit sufficient funds, foreign institutional investors can invest in the Vietnamese stock market at a lower cost, minimizing risks related to exchange rates, portfolio swaps, etc.
