Vietnam women's volleyball team has personnel changes before participating in SEA Games 33

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team made a last-minute change in personnel before leaving for Thailand to attend the 33rd SEA Games.

Nguyen Thi Trinh did not attend the 33rd SEA Games at the last minute.

Today (December 4), the head coach of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Kiet, confirmed that middle blocker Nguyen Thi Trinh will not participate in the 33rd SEA Games due to health reasons. "Nguyen Thi Trinh has submitted a resignation letter due to health issues, so the coaching staff must have someone to replace her middle blocker to participate in the 33rd SEA Games," said Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet.

Nguyen Thi Trinh, born in 1997, is a veteran and talented middle blocker of Vietnamese women's volleyball. She has long occupied the main field position for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team and LPBank Ninh Binh Club. However, recently she rarely appeared in the main lineup of the Vietnamese team before resigning at the last minute due to health reasons.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet said that 20-year-old middle blocker Le Nhu Anh was chosen to replace Nguyen Thi Trinh. Le Nhu Anh is a young middle blocker of VTV Binh Dien Long An Club. She contributed to helping the U.20 Vietnam team win a ticket to the U.21 World Cup and has been constantly improving over time.

On December 8, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will leave for Thailand to conquer the 33rd SEA Games. According to the schedule, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will play the first match against Myanmar at 3:00 p.m. on December 10, then against Malaysia (12:30 p.m. on December 11), and against Indonesia (12:30 p.m. on December 12).

With a core squad of players in their prime such as Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Tran Thi Bich Thuy, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is expected to overthrow Thailand to win the first gold medal at the SEA Games after many times finishing second.
