Ca Mau recreates "countryside market" through "U Minh Forest Fragrance" Festival

As part of the event series “Ca Mau - Destination 2025”, on the morning of April 25, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, in coordination with the People's Committee of U Minh district and U Minh Ha National Park, organized the opening ceremony of the “U Minh Forest Fragrance” Festival 2025, with the theme “U Minh Ha Colors”.

Up to now, Ca Mau has organized the "U Minh Forest Fragrance" festival 5 times.

This year's festival takes place from April 25 to May 1, with many activities, the highlight of which is the opening of the "countryside market", recreating the image of buying and selling agricultural and aquatic products, traditional cakes, cuisine ... of the southernmost land of the Fatherland.

When mentioning U Minh, many people still remember the traditional profession of "bee-keeping", which has been recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage; U Minh forest honey and U Minh fish sauce hotpot, which have been recognized as "100 Vietnamese specialty gifts" and recognized by the Vietnam Record Association as the largest beehive and fish sauce hotpot in Vietnam.

In 2022, the Asian Record Organization set a record for Asian culinary specialties with U Minh fish sauce hotpot.
